Have owned this since the early 90's, purchased from my Uncle. Working on getting it going again as It has sat in my Dads garage for a few years. Still trying to figure out who made the body. From looking around this site sounds like it might be a Minibug mfg in Michigan.

I think you are correct, interesting that in the ID section it states this: Minibug was one of the VW authorized kits that were built and sold through VW dealers. It was an experiment I guess with VW like the Max was with Chevy Dealers.
