I'm just starting to get in to buggies and would like a few tips and pointers for what to do. I'm considering buying a vw bug and going from there but I'm not sure if it would be wiser (and more cost effective) to buy a frame, engine, etc. so any advice would be appreciated
Just my thoughts, others may disagree. Look for a dune buggy that needs love and HAS a TITLE. Not real sure if the bodies will fit on the super beetle pans. Also, dune buggies can either be designed for shortened pans or full pan. I looked in your area: https://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/6122776852.html
and lots of rail dune buggies. Depends on what you want and what is Street legal in your area. There are glass buggies that are cheaper the further you get away, and some that are all done for more money. Just this old fellows thoughts.
1. Buy a buggy that needs love. Its the best starting point for a newbie.
2. Make sure it is titled or you will just own a piece of lawn art 3. Allocate 3 times the amount of money that you think you will need. Powered by mwForum 2.10.2 © 1999-2007 Markus Wichitill |
