Ok guys I need a little advice, I'm currently looking at a nice 69 buggy that looks exactly like a imp BUT it has no emblems and no bump on the hood? 1) Did they make any 69 EMPI imps without the bump on the hood? Or is this likely a clone? Looks really good though and in the end as long as I like it I guess it really doesn't matter that much just wanted to know. 2) are the hoods on a 69 and 70 imp interchangeable?

Lots of clones were made over the years. IF it is missing an important feature and the body wasn't modified to delete it, chances are it's a clone.

Nice looking buggy clone or not
