Thanks.... I'll give ya a hint, it has a dual port 1600 AE motor freshly rebuilt. With a '34' carb?
4/14/2015 - "I think you might need to adjust your expectations. Finding a perfect buggy with perfect everything for your price range is going to be real tough."
Jeffrey P you are correct. BUT that very first buggy I lost was a high dollar buggy for $5500.!! There will always be that one or two exceptions to the rule. This one I got I saw and new about. But thought it was out of my league. After the wife talked some sense into me (didn't hurt that she fell in love with it the first time I showed her) about spending "X" amount and then putting another "X" amount into it to get it to where I would like it to be, it made some kind of sense just to go all in.
OH I know which one it is, HA HA at least the wife is on board, my wife loves ours and riding. Give us another hint what color is it ?
Ohh no I said too much. You'll have to wait. (knocking on wood, don't want to jinx it)
Since I know your getting a turn key there's a big buggy event plan for May 24 at Amelia Island plan to come. I plan on bringing mine is about a 3 hour drive hope the weather is good.
Thank you so much for the invite! But my best friend (brother from another mother) daughter is having her engagement party. But I do plan on going to future events, the wife is also (which is a surprise to me).
Every thing still on track with the buy ?
He's been mighty silent........

LOL, Yeah. Me and the wife are going up Monday morning to finalize everything. Then the gentleman is going to load it up on his trailer and follow us home. Just have to pay him for his fuel. He knows they can be towed. But feels better to trailer it. (2 hours north west of us) Nice guy!! Monday evening I'll show pic's and tell ya about it. Keeping my fingers crossed still.!!
Based on the location I think I know the buggy your buying. I think.....

My first Allison I traded back to Ken to get the lwb one ended up in Brandon Fl near Tampa. The owner gave me the steering wheel off of it just for the shipping cost. He did alot of up grades on it it was sharp, it was for sale awhile back he wanted I think 11,500.00. Had a hot engine in it. And the seats where redone with speakers mounted in the "back" on the back seat. It looked good. He was co owner for a Funeral Home there. If it sold the new owner hasn't poped up on any of these sites yet. Be nice to know where it went. It was white and gold orgin gel coat.
Good luck today, can't wait to see pics!

Very nice indeed !
I wish you nothing but the best with it. If you don't plan on doing the maintanance I'd start a relationship with a good ACVW guy. Turn keys don't stay that way for long. Those old buggers require the PM of the day. She's a beauty , enjoy! Be Big, AMAC
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! Thats why I got it! After I sold my vette, I was twiddling my thumbs with no wrenching to do. Now I have something to fool around on.
Looks really nice I know the family will enjoy. It looks like it was just finished. When you time brief us on the engine ect. Vince
Vince, go on youtube and watch the vid's. He explains a lot. The motor is a 73 AE dual port. The pan is a 70. Disk in front, EVERYTHING NEW Except speedo and fuel gauge. Which he cleaned up well. Seats carpet lights, wheels, tires, shocks, hydraulic lines, brakes, axles, everything is new. Rides smooth and tight, shifts smooth too. He gave me back $200. Because when he had the wheels aligned and balanced, they had a REAL HARD time with the front riverside tire. So at 60 she has a shake. The tire came that way. So he gave me back 200 to cover a new front set. He didn't have to tell me that. Another guy would probably forget to say anything like that.
very nice buggy for sure.
i hope someday mine will be half as nice as that
Saw the video s looks like he knows buggys for sure, his other two were sharp looking to. Where is he located ? oh btw where he was getting those tire balance, the machine might be in need of being calibrated. one shop here had to get their machine checked and it was off. So might want to check in to that before you buy tires or a tire. If all else save the suspect tire for a spare. Enjoy keep the road hot.
He's located in Lake Placid Fl. That is just north west top of Lake Okeechobee. I'm basically bottom east of the lake. Thanks for the look out.
