I've wanted one since I was a kid, finally got my money pit! This buggy has a history and I am still sorting that out. It's a Lithia Mk III with original gel coat in orange with a custom chassis from Marc Iannuzzi. It came out of Florida a few years ago, ended up in Nebraska and now resides in Kansas. It is for the most part complete but needs finished. I am having a hell of a time with the brakes, but who isn't. Still trying to learn to post pictures, will do that soon.

Thanks!. The brakes are disc and I have installed three master cylinders, each bench bled, checked all of the lines for leaks, vacuum pumped two qts. thru, even modified a small shop vac for vacuum. Brakes feel fine, good pedal for a few minutes, then pedal falls to the floor. I thought it may have a bent rotor causing movement of the puck, but they all are straight, no runout.  Since I am working on the chassis, I have removed the body and roll cage for better access. As I live in the country, I have been driving it around my barn on grass and can drift it half way around! I'm too old for that but it sure is fun. After I get the brakes figured out there is little left to sort before I get it on the street. Two PO's ago had the chassis built and set up for autocross so I think this one will stay on the street. It used to belong to Stickerdick here on the forum, check out the build.

I have read on VW brakes and had to do it on mine, (shoes)all 4, had to adjust the shoes out to the drum then bleed the brakes then back off the adjustment on the shoes till they drag alittle. It worked on mine. You could try it on your back set to see if that would help. Just a thought. Vince

Yea disc all the way around my fix would not do a darn thing HA HA, let us know what gets  it fixed. Strange problem. On thing that happened to me when I was very young working at a garage part time I was puting brakes on a Dodge Van(beat up work van) , rotors, pads, and calipers. Well couldn't get any pedal when bleeding. The owner of the shop came over and looked and told me that I had put the calipers on the wrong side, the bleeder screw was pointing down so none of the air could get out like it should. The owner is like a second dad to me. He just retired in December.  Ok that was like 30 years ago but it taught me something . I remember one time I was putting a water pump on a Monte carlo one of the big  body ones it had a factory 454 in it, Jackie the owner came over after I had been at it awhile and said " same car"  Good Luck Vince
