Hello everyone, bought this project a few years ago on ebay after selling my Chris craft boat I rebuilt. I'm a Chevy guy so thought this would be a snap.  At first it was a nightmare!!!!! It was sold to me as a 73 but nothing fit when I started buying parts and fitting them on.  It is actually a 1963. I told the wife I was just gonna do a brake job and tune up to get it running. As you can see it was a very expensive brake job! Lol. I replaced the floor pans, all new brake and fuel lines(European flares on the brake lines thats why they were all leaking when I double flared then like Chevy ones), new suspension, aluminum axle beam, chrome and polished stainless everything. New tank (had to move the filler neck on the tank) and new motor a 1915cc. New wiring and you get the point. I stripped the body (originally orange metalflake) and helped with the body work (a friend sprayed it) silver base with heavy metal flake, house of color candy tangrine metallic and clear with pearl in it. Best thing about the whole project it was done 100% (besides the spraying) by myself! I checked the buggy id and could not find the manufactor maybe some one could help me. I live in chicago and want to go to berrian buggy in Michigan to see if one of their tops will fit it, I think it will be a great addition to the bug. Photo bucket number I think?

1st. The buggy is BEAUTIFUL
2nd. As ingenious as that rear nerf bar is, I would be in fear that one parking lot tap would be detrimental to the function of the oil pump

Agreed! That is just asking for trouble. As is the plastic fuel filter.

I would concern myself with oil flow now. Welding warps metal, I would thing the oil pump could be having problems now. All though it looks cool, I would make a new mount for that nerf bar.

Can't get that link to work. I see the word "mobile" in the link. Do I need one a those new fangled smart phones to access the pictures? I tried clicking, cut and paste, just using some of the address. Then I ran out of computer skills....

Mike T, try this link:  http://s1341.photobucket.com/user/Eddie_Reinhart/embed/Mobile%20Uploads/story

If you can click on it and it opens in another window or the one you are in then good to go, if not, just copy the link and post it in the address line of a new window.

I can get the link to work fine with my new laptop but not the old E machine I usually browse with. Must be the Windows NT can't see the page. All I get is a white screen.

Anyway I like those side panels. And the wheels are very vintage. Nice looking buggy.
