Just found this Forum! Got this a couple years ago and Damn if it isn't the funnest! Had to hide it from the wife till I got it running but she loves it! I'm pretty certain it's a real Manx; tho I don't have a front sticker/badge or a serial tag! Want to strip the paint and gel coat it orange metal flake. (Boat Shop?) I'm sure I'll be pestering you Veterans on tips, pointers, how to do stuff and vendors etc.

Post them to a place like photobucket and then use that to get them on here.

Real Manx are hard to find. We will need pictures of the dash, front, rear, hood, and underside of the fenders.

K I'll try photobucket and see if that works.

If they reside on your computer, you can resize them using Paint on a windows computer.  Generally about 60% works. Just another option

Very very Manx-ish.

The tubes under the fenders look good. The dash looks right. The hood looks right. The holes drilled in the back for the brackets look good.

Any brackets attaching the body to the rear shock towers? Or maybe the two (or three?) small holes on the inner rear fender wells?

I'll Check and take some photos, when it stops raining!

Were the front fenders cut? they look a little off.

If everything looks good you should definitely send it in to get verified. if Winnie does certify it as a Manx then the tag and badging is available from Meyers

Jeff, You have a VERY nice ride!!Thanks for the reference pics! Those will help with the rebuild. It may have been cut for clearance, I'm not sure, I wish I had an unmolested, brand new one next to it so I could compare them. I know I don't have the rear fender supports and my shocks are missing the bracket on the eyebolt shown in your first photo. Are those available? I have tubes on both sides (left side rear wire tube.jpeg). I'm not ready to strip it apart just yet, need to make room in the garage and I'll do more detective work then. I trust the previous owner and the history he told me: buggy was built in Cali a LONG time ago by his father in-law, they brought it up to Idaho in the late '80s. I'm puzzled by the MANX emblem on the back, the ABS dash, the support tubes molded in to the fiberglass on both sides "spare tire well" behind the drivers seat (like it could hold wheel!), the serial number plate location holes  All indicate it being a Manx, a lot of effort to pass off a fake. But I've been wrong before, could be I got just another knockoff! Oh well I'll try to enjoy it regardless! 

You might be able to get the Manx parts directly from Meyers still. I am not sure. I just reproduced the rear ones. In my pic you can see the original one in the middle and the ones I fabbed up on either side.

Do you have three little holes where those brackets would mount to the body? Usually they are used when first built and then maybe filled if the brackets were removed for a restoration.

Got it authenticated. It's real, as I knew it was but now I have the paper to prove in the event we ever want to sell. FYI, Found out that the only Dune Buggies Haggerty will insure are genuine Manx.
