HAS ANYONE MOUNTED A RADIATOR ON THE ROLL CAGE OF A SAND RAIL? i PLAN ON MOUNTING THIS 2 FEET ABOVE THE ENGINE!! ANYONE TRIED THIS?IF SO ANY PROBLEMS?

I would be leery of sand thrown from anyone in front of me. I would think other than that it should be OK. I have seen several with the rad above the engine with no issues.

Look at the postings on Radiator Location Ideas - I think there is one on there with the high mount.

How big will this radiator be?  The location should work.  Tom

it's a dual pass good for 400 hp.all aluminum 3 row 22x17X3.5 .It will have a forced air shroud pulling air from off the roof panel above the roll cage!

quick update this radiator location works great, the fan never runs .the only time it runs is at a red light after 75 mph highway run .then it only runs briefly!!

Glad it is working for you.  Kathleen's Manxter has 2 14"X16"X1.5" radiators in the side pods that do not get as much air as your setup.  When we bought those radiators from Ron Davis they said a sandrail running in the sand would need the equivalent of our 2 radiators to run cool.  Tom
