Need Help. "MiniBug" vs "Mini Bug"

Just picked this up this weekend and I am trying to identify it. It has a "Mini Bug" badge on it but it definitely is different from the "MiniBug"s on here and everywhere else. The lights mount different the side opening is different and the rear is different. Ken suggested I move the post here from the intro forum. I am very interested in rebuilding it but would like to know exactly what I have before I tear into it. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

There was a time when everybody and his brother-in-law were making buggies, and jockeying for names for their creations. Some guy used either Minibug, or Mini Bug first, so the next guy who wanted to use the name had to use an alternative spelling. There are a number of cases like this, except Turner Truck parts , who go ahead and use a name that's already taken.

I'll have to search my unidentified body pics and see if there are more of these, great find. Any shots of the dash area for us?

yepper, I found one , also I found that this body was recently sold new as the SS on the Samba site although he may have tweaked the dash part, but until I can see your dash I can't be certain
