![]() How to sign up - go to http://store.carlisleevents.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=23 , pick the type of entry you want, enter your information, at the club entry, either pick dunebuggyarchives.com from the drop down list, or if you want to enter Manx Club, pick "other - see below" and then manually enter "Manx Club". For the past 2 years we won 2nd place for club participation. Look for the host tent provided by the Manx Club, which will be the gathering spot. Bruce Meyers will host talks at specified times and be available for pictures or to sign items. There will be a road cruise on Saturday afternoon hosted by Carlisle Events which is open to all buggy owners. There are a few Manx Club Member only events that will also be held over the weekend. These include a dinner Saturday night, with the Meyers', and a trophy awarded to a buggy chosen by Bruce Meyers. Sorry, no exceptions. Not a member yet? Don't fret, you can join the club on line before the event (your current membership card is proof of membership), or that weekend in Carlisle.

Manx Club #1030, CVA, RBC, SCCA ![]() I am considering bringing the Tow'd this year. No monocoque...I never got the fuel tank repair work done and the new year is upon us. I am just about to cut the top of the tank out and am lining up getting an aluminum tank fit up. Unless I can get a new top molded for the fuel tank, an aluminum tank fabricated and installed etc,it is out. Who else is showing up? Chris ![]()

Manx Club #1030, CVA, RBC, SCCA ![]() Well...good question. I only have about 5 miles on it since I redid it. The real question is...will I be able to handle a 100 mile tour in a Towd...they are tight. ![]() I did a tour with the manxclub at big bear in a borrowed 40HP Towdster. It ran good considering the engine was a used up 40H. I should post some shots of that run some time... We did have one issue when the throttle stuck and we ran up under a tree..Not fun. ![]()

Manx Club #1030, CVA, RBC, SCCA ![]() Knock on wood, the Towd should do well. Chris ![]() Now, to pull the carb and rebuild it...seems that it does not like to idle. Should be there in May>>with Towd...and a seat cushion Chris ![]()

I will be there for the third year in a row(I look forward to this show). Some other guys from my club will also be there. http://www.rubugn.com/
Last year I tried the autocross at the Carlisle show. Is anyone else interested in doing it this year? If we get 8 cars, they will let us all run within one hour. It costs around $25 and you can borrow a helmet from them. Post a reply if you are interested. Check my video from last yesr to get an idea of what it is all about... http://youtu.be/1vfs4YFL4I8 ![]()

Meyer's Manx
http://s475.photobucket.com/albums/rr118/LongIslandManx/ ![]() Friday - Bruce Meyers will be giving a presentation at the tent at 3:00 and TJ Kustoms is having their cookout in the evening in the camping area. Saturday - Bruce will talk at 1:00 - 2:00. At 2:15 - 2:30 we will have a group photo of all the buggies on the hill side (same as last year). We will leave right after that for a cruise suggested by Carlisle Events to Gettysburg. This will be about 75 miles total and we will visit the Visitors Center and some of the battlefied area. I will supply a chase vehicle and due to suggestions, there will be bathroom & fuel stops. At 7:00 there will be a dinner with Bruce & Winnie for Manx Club members. Sunday - Bruce will be available for autographs from 9:00 - noon in building T. If the weather is inclement, the tent will be available to keep people dry. I suggest you bring your own popup tent or tarp to keep your buggies dry. See you all on Friday or Satuday. Tom

I made it to the show , got there around 2 Saturday afterrnoon, you guys were out on your Getteysburg cruise, so I missed some of you. I took a few pics of your buggies, great motivation for me to get mine done. Yes, I am keeping it, I know you all have seen it advertised for sale a couple times over the last couple years, but the trip to the show made me decide I need to keep it and finish it. Also meeting Bruce was a great motivation, I hope I am that alive when I'm 85. I wish I could have met more of you, but next year I will be there with my Manx and be a part of the show. Buggy On!!!

Yes John, I have decided to keep it and build it. I even renewed my Manx Club membership. I am excited to get working on the car, hopefully I will have at least a rolling chassis by the end of the year. I realized after being at the show that I would have been very sorry if I had sold it. I am thinking I am going to build a 1776-20?? VW engine for it, at a later date I will build or buy a Porsche engine for it to have it back to it's original state of build. I want to try again to find out some history on the car, I came up against dead ends last time I tried, hopefully I'll be able to trace some of the history down this time. So right now I am looking for a rebuildable Bug engine to get started on. I have been accumulating parts for the car ever since I bought it, so I don't need to much for it other than an engine, front wheels, maybe a front beam. Anyway, short answer, yes I am keeping it, it will never be for sale again, thanks for your patience guys, and when I get started on it,(soon), I will document my progress with a build thread. Sorry to get so far off topic here....
