This is a rare, authentic Meyers Manx. It is a project, but one worth doing. It is a very early car, built before Bruce Meyers started putting serial numbers on them. It has been authenticated by Bruce Meyers as a genuine Manx and comes with paperwork from him stating this. The fiberglass body is off the frame and is in very good shape, no breaks or damage, only needs paint, the original metal flake is faded from sitting out in the Florida sunshine for 40+ years. It has the rare, original fiberglass top. The frame was rusted so rather than rebuild it, I bought a new, Berrien tube chassis with fiberglass floor. The frame has not been painted, or installed. The car is powered by a 1962 356 Porsche 1600 SC engine, that is also all disassembled, awaiting re-assembly. I have all parts to rebuild it, new big bore kit, gaskets, carb re-build kits, etc. Gauges are 356 Porsche. Basically, the whole car is disassembled, needing re-assembly. I have a clear, transferable title,(1964 VW). I'm not desperate to sell, but would like to move it so I can move on to other projects. That said, my price is some what firm, but I will listen to all offers. E-mail or call for more info and to set up a time to come look at it if interested. 607-437-6136, ask for Scott

Scott, I remember when you picked this baby up! There was a lot of buzz about the engine being a Porsche and all the Porsche parts on it.

Sorry to see it on the chopping block, but hopefully someone will be able to snatch this up and have a great "old school" starting point for a vintage looking buggy!

Good luck with the sale.

Sorry guys, I forgot to post the price...I'm asking $6000.00, believe it or not, I have close to that in it. I really don't want to sell it, and I won't unless I can get or come close to my asking price, but right now I need the cash flow more than the car.  It is a car that I know will be hard to replace, but we've all had cars like that that we should have kept, there will be more. My daughter has been accepted into the foreign exchange program at school and will be going to Germany in August, that is going to be an expensive adventure, but a great experiance for her.

The motor's worth that much and more rebuilt. My buddy Todd is doing one for his '65 cabrio 356. My 2332 will be about alf the price to build compared to the Porsche. Wish I had the money to pick it up, great old school rocket. Maybe I'll get lucky in Vegas on the nickle slots......LOL
