Probably for the "retro" homage. Actually, I don't mind it at all... makes me wonder what his reserve is and whether someone would spring for it. Like they say, rare doesn't necessarily equal valuable... though this is a very well done vehicle.

And where is the shifter?

Good question, Jeff. On the body-off frame shot, there is something that looks like a shifter coming off the front coil-over mount, but the photo is too fuzzy. It's probably nested between the seats and we just can't see it.

Probably push button trans shifting?

If you enlarge the pic with the seats, I believe you can just see the top of the shifter.

Parking brake?

I believe parking brake is closer to the passenger seat and pointed toward the front. looking at the seat picture the (what I think is) knob about halfway along the seat bottom. just barely see it, would be about right for the automatic shifter I think.
