I believe it is a Kellison sandpiper pickup or a Hill engineering body can anyone tell the different in them. It looks like the engine dome in the bed is below the rim of the bed on the sand pipers and possible has a ridge around the rear tag area. This one does not have those features. Can anyone help with the ID?

wow a flat dash that is different let me look at my book my friend has it now though i will get back to you
Joe, I found a theard under (molds? bodies? please held me identify.) the mold of the pickup body has the high doom in the bed unlike the kellison pickup that has it below the rim of the bed and according to John in the theard that it might be of Hill engineering. I have not foud a pic of the dash or the rear of the Hill eng. pickup yet to see if it is flat. So I think with me being in Georgia it is possable that it is a Hill eng. body. If your book has pic of the Hill eng. body let me know
Thanks for your help. David/buggy W. ![]()
Kellison Jim
I have seen both but it has been a while, I vote Hill Industries, REASON , The dash, Ken ( I could be wrong ) Lee..................
soooooo
whats the story? is this a drive by? yours? possible purchase? for sale?
ok the article before was mine thought the fenders made mine a Lincoln industries witch was one of only five made i actually got to talking to the guy that has one of the other ones and i bought it from him in NH he new of the family that had originally owned the Lincoln industries and i got to talking and they were the original of the body though in the molding process the mold broke after the 5th one and then they ended up remaking the mold though the rear fenders the eliminated due to the fact that the found it to catch the sand in the beaches not letting the sand escape and packing down other companies have tried to copy the process they did end up selling out to kellison industries and as for your body i really think that you have one of the hill engineering there were lots of them made though m,any people do think they have one though yours is the first that i have seen due to the fact that you have the flat dash in yours and the hump in the back does come up higher than most of the other ones that i have seen nice grab i would not sell what you have it is a nice fixer upper.
keep us posted on your build and i will see what else i can find on your buggy
Funnybug It's not for sale Im going to rebuild her, pulled the body today clean up the chassis and doing pans out 1 x 2 with 3/16 metal.
Thanks, Joe I,m keeping her I've started the work on her already .
Thanks for your help
I know your not selling but does anyone have an idea what it would be worth?
I'm in the market and don't have anything to base a purchase price on. keep in mind I'm on the east coast (good, bad, or indiffrent) a friend happens to have same model in about same condition. (not running but not seized) any help would be great, if I have over stepped my bounds forgive me PS the project buggy not the finished red one posted in the thread
wow. loaded question.
I know my Ohio 125k house would be worth 1.5 million in California Here on the snowy frigid sandy dunes of Akron Ohio, I would probably peel 300 - 500 off for this one. I'm guessing in Arizona that would be completely different
I hear ya Funnybug,
I guess i didn't want to insult him, it was one of those "make me an offer" I think he is looking more in the realm of 2K. Which I really don't have the $ for. I will be 5K deep before i know it. I can't justify that type of expense, not like it could be a daily driver here in NJ.
Hello
Does anyone know the history of Hill Enterprises Kellison? Or know where I can find the info? Thank you Randy
