i have a pickup style dune buggy and i have desighned a roll bar that i like for my dune buggy though i have assemble it in the buggy i can not weld it together due to the fact that i can not drop the body over it the way i have designed it i need to know has anyone ever built a roll bar that can unbolt and then go back together any ideas would help thanks for your time

I have seen a lot of roll cages that bolt in, usually with a 1/4 inch 4X6 inch plate at the bottom of the leg and one under the bottom of the floor held together with 9/16 grade 8 bolts. You can also sleeve the tubes to fit together and then run bolts to hold it together. Be advised that that a sleeved cage will never pass tech by any racing sanctioning body and that they are are not near as strong as a fully welded cage or roll bar.
