Purchased a few years back here in NC. Shortened pan, battery in a compartment behind the passenger seat but that may have been custom made. Look closely at the dash and you can tell that it is a bit lower under the speedometer. The radio mount area looks to have been (Poorly) custom molded, so I'd bet that area was just smooth originally.

Is the body thicker then normal?
Does it have just a battery well only?

Yes, the glass does seem to be thicker than others I've seen, and yes, it's a battery well behind the passenger seat.

Nice body really. It'd be nice to have a "name"... Dash style and rear treatment looks wrong for a "Sand Flea" though.

Had it up for sale at $5,500.00 and got no takers, so I'm going to keep it and do some more to it..

I'm thinking of making a "hood" of sorts for the area between the rear fenders. Something to semi cover the engine.... Probably make it out of some polished aluminum....

And then some chrome bumpers, bikini top, 3 point seat belts, and a bit of chrome on the engine.
