I saw a whole car for sale with a top on Craigslist.  I have no idea if the seller is willing to sell the top separately, but it can't hurt to ask.

Or ask the seller to pass along your name/phone number to the new owner. Maybe the new owner won't want to run the top..... or may be willing to provide the top to make a mold while he/she is going through or restoring it.

Its just a thought... Always more than one way to skin a cat.

John and Jay, This guy also has it listed on eBay for the 2nd time. I asked him if he would part with the top and he replied that he would not separate them. There are no bids on it as of today. I also had a guy contact me that saw my post on The Samba, but after a couple of emails he stopped communicating. He wanted $250.00 for it, which I was willing to pay. But I think I scared him off when I asked if he would wrap it up and tie it to a wooden palate. I even told him I would compensate him for it. I hope to find one sooner or later. My ultimate dream would be to find a C-Cab for it!!!

i see the top in that posting though it does not have the ridges on the top of it just wonering the kellison pickup has the same top and sits on the same corect because i might have got my hands on another top if it is the same i will have it home soon i found it in NH so give me a reply is there any difference what so ever also i have my kellison pickup though have no windshield do you or anyone know the dimenshions of the original windshield and the brakets i like them better with the swival point thanks for your time

Joe, you are correct about the the primered Sandpiper Pickup not having ridges on the the top. As a matter of fact, that is the only one I have seen without the two ridges. There is another one (Super T) on TheSamba that has a top and this is the guy that doesn't want to seperate the body and the top.

Here's a photo of my original windshield and the dimensions I sent to the guy who built me a new one for my Super T. Hope it helps! For the life of me, I can not locate the frame.

are you still looking for a top it is broke that is the corner is though i have it also and as for the brakets for the original windshield did yours pivit

Joe, I kind of put it on the back burner, but would definitely be interested! But a lot would depend on price and shipping cost. What does that sucker weigh? As for the brackets, I never had any and the windshield was stationary and didn't pivot.
Did the measurements for the windshield help?

with the kellison pickup and the Kellison that you have do you know if they are the same exact hard top or not because there seams to be some difference in the pics i have saw i just want to make sure before i tell you i have one for you

Seems like the distance between windshield and rear body would be different.

John, the distance seems the same, but the more I look the rear lip on the Sandpiper Pickup is squared off where as the Super T is rounded. Not sure if this would make a big differance or maybe a little modification will be needed.

i just got that one off him also i cant resist some times so i have a few more buggys than i should have but it is a buggy one is just not enough i got it alot cheeper than what he originally wanted and my friend also needed some parts off it just i have it home know though i dont know if the top will fit on my body yet i will know tomorrow when i get home my other har tops for kellisons have been at my other shop i have just not had ennough time to pull them out of storage yet though as you can see i might have to do some glassing in order to make it fit so if anyone has a kellison pickup top i am intrested in trades or i will by it off you

ya i live right down the road from him so you know how it is anoy someone long enogh and eventuallty they get sick of it and you will get it though i will see if the top fits if not that was the one i will sell you
