I got the Orange buggy home tonight and started to take it apart so that I can remove the hood and get it to a boat repair shop. Hopefully he can repair it, if not I will be looking for a hood. Anyone know where I can get a used or new hood???

I was just wondering if the sticker on the hood is the manufacture ID or just a sticker? "Mark II Sportsman"

That's a mfg sticker , got any more pics of the body ?
A competant fiberglass shop should be able to reconstruct the hood damage.
A good photoshop artist can reconstruct the sticker image and you can get a print shop to make a new one.

Bart, Big Brown has its benefits! I have two customers next door to each other. One is a boat reapir business who has been doing it for 45 years and he sold buggy bodies around 1970, including my original red Super T as well as the blue one I now have and he still has a Scorpion body that in lying in his woods, never been put on a chassis. And next door is a Sign/Grapics shop who is the guy who did the decal work on my Super T.

I'll push the buggy outside tomorrow and get some good shot.

Bart, I have some Scorpion pics somewhere here on the site but will have to remember where.

Here are some pics of the Sportsman. I bought(for now) the buggy from a neighbor around the corner sight unseen, since he had it stored 40 miles away. And I asked him at least 4 times if the floors were solid and without bad rust or holes and he asured me they were solid. We unloaded it at night so I didn't check it as well as I would of liked. So Friday night I removed the board that he was going to mount his seats and then a piece of flimsy tin or something and this is what I found. I then called him and told him what I found and he said he didn't know what I was talking about. He's had it for 25 years!!!! I told him when he got back in town that we needed to talk about it.

Instead of taking the hood off to change a gas tank, the previous owner cuts out the fiberglass, unbelieveable

Those heater outlets are interesting, what are they made from? Can't really see them that well.
