I am needing help in identifing my Buggy it is a classic body molded dash

These are very hard to id, next to the Manx this was cloned excessivly. Orriginally the first of this body was the Lido by Balboa Fiberglass. Most people refer to it as an El Lobo - a later manufacturer of the body.
Biggest problem in seperating these is that we have no confirmed Lido to make a base id, yours is exciting as the side panels seem to be the type Lido used. try to gently strip the paint from the body (try oven cleaner and a pressure washer) and see if there is any identificaion on it anywhere.

Unless this is one of the Joe Poty versions I have never seen this type with identification. The joe Poty bodys had a tag above the body hole the steering shaft goes through.
Sometimes manufacturers glassed buisness cards in the underside of the body, under the hood, fenders. It's hard to tell. just examine everywhere. Id your hood /dash two pieces ? Is there a metal frame in that area?
