My son Brad has been taking the buggy to Silver Lake and this weekend the 2.2 seized up on him. He happened to have a small "action cam" mounted that showed the dash so I was able to see that there was a lost of oil pressure which went unnoticed by Brad. The motor ran about 2 min. with out any oil pressure before stalling while he happened to be idling at the moment. I'm going to have to find out what caused the lost of oil pressure. There isn't any oil on the dip stick and he said oil was pouring out on to the header under one of the heads.  ???? All I can figure a seal blew somewhere, maybe the cam shaft seal behind the gear??? In any event I have to figure out what to do with the motor, stock rebuild or go for more hp. I'm thinking at least an overbore with a 2.5 79mm crank (stock 2.2 is 76mm), and some better rods. Oh Yeah! A NEW oil pump!!!
