Just got a new toy today, as far as I know it's a Bandit body (pointy nose)
I'm a Jeep guy at heart but this looks like fun I'm debating leaving it pointy or making a custom hood that's rounded. Here's how it looked ![]() Here it is in my truck ![]() Looking for tons of info on the body. It's a shortened VW pan as well. Thanks ![]() Jay
Thank you Jay. It's slowly grown on me too since it's been home... It definitely needs sharks teeth on the front though, hehe.
Where could I find out information on the Bandit series (which it is right?) I've searched here tons. Thanks.
Welcome Samuel, Years ago when I first got my buggy I had a room-mate that was a died-in-the-wool Jeep guy. We went down to the local sand flats and even he was impressed with the stuff I could do that he couldn't, then we went to a big dirt pile and again I outdid him. The only place he beat me was in the mud, I didn't want to get dirty
![]() This is a great place to get and share ideas. I'm glad I found it. brad
Brad, I saw these in action and was impressed as well. I started on motorcycles, and still love my Kawasaki KDX 200, but then got the 47 Willys CJ2A as my first car (I'm 17 and this was my graduation present to myself, the Buggy, my parents got me more Jeep parts (they sponsered the Jeep build, I love them so much))
But, I found the buggy and couldn't pass it by for $400 bucks... Here's the CJ2A ![]() It's got a bit taller cage cus I'm 6'3 and hit my head on anything less ![]() Were you able to navigate here? http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/gallery/base/Bandit/Advertising%20Gallery/?base=14c1bea73f59fa988f66d00d169ceb04 Jay
Jay, I was not, thanks! Dang that's cool :D
I wish it still had the metallic flake gelcoat on it though... It may go the same color as my Jeep. Powered by mwForum 2.10.2 © 1999-2007 Markus Wichitill |
