Anyone ever seen one of these throttle body "wedges" installed?  I'm needing something like this to "straighten out" the direction of my throttle body coming off the intake manifold.  Eliminating the built in 20 deg. angle will greatly simplify the installation of my intercooler and connecting tube.
I've got the contact information for the vendor in this photo, just wondering if there were any other options I haven't come across?

I "think" the petcock is likely an air bleed for the throttle body coolant line?  That's what the location indicates to me anyway.  Seems the Vanagon conversions go through all kinds of "fixes" to help get air out of the cooling system.

Tom's website you linked above is where I found the adapter - once I decided that is really what I needed to straighten out the intake tube, and a little googling.  Tom's part certainly seems like it would do the trick, if a bit pricey.  Via emails, Tom confirmed the bolt pattern between my EJ20 turbo JDM Legacy motor TB and his EJ22 based adapter are the same.

After thinking this through a bit more, I think I'm going to make my own wedge adapter and just have it welded to the intake manifold.  Tom's solution is a bolt-on fix, while my intake is only temporarily mocked up and can easily come back off the engine.  Makes sense to me to make this a permanent modification, and one less joint to possibly leak.
I'm surprised this isn't a more commonly available item?  Getting rid of that angle would seem to get rid of lots of air intake alignment issues!  It sure does in my case.
